  • Offertory collection: €1090.00  Míle Buíochas.
  • Parish Office: will be closed on Thursday 2nd October.
  • Thursday evening Mass in Keel: in line with Bishop Ray’s Moving Forward in Hope initiative, we need to make some adjustments to accommodate the declining number of priests. As mentioned at Mass in Keel last Saturday evening, the Thursday evening Mass is, unfortunately, drawing to a close. It is simply because of the lack of available priests to cover the Masses in the Pastoral Area. The other 2 Masses in Keel each week will remain. To offset the loss, Mass will be celebrated in Keel Church on the third Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. It will be a multi-intentional Mass i.e. Mass will be celebrated for any number of people who have died. Also, the First Friday Mass in Kiltallagh will be a multi-intentional Mass in the future. This system is in place in many parishes throughout the diocese and is working well and, hopefully, it will work well in our parish. A sincere thanks to Fr. John O’Sullivan who faithfully celebrated weekday Masses in Keel Church during his holidays and he will be welcome  to do so in the future.

A Prayer for the Earth

God our Creator, maker and shaper of all that is, seen and unseen.

You are present in the breadth and depth of the whole of creation,

and in the processes that make life possible.

Yet, we are distracted by the gods of the marketplace.

Our lives have become fractured and fragmented.

In our brokenness we disturb

the Earth’s capacity to hold us

Call us back from the brink.

Help us to choose love and not fear,

to change ourselves and not the planet,

to act justly for the sake of the vulnerable,

and to make a difference today for the life tomorrow.
