Lord God, I seek your strength

to forgive those who have wronged me.

As difficult as it may be

I choose to release resentment and anger

following your example of unconditional love and forgiveness.

Bless my heart with empathy and understanding

for those who have hurt me

Grant me the peace that comes from forgiveness

and guide me in your path of grace and reconciliation

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
